As part of the work of NGI, 64 listening sessions were held across the United States between March and December 2011. Participants included at-risk or justice system-involved girls, their parents/caregivers, and key professional and community stakeholders across the continuum of services. In all, 607 stakeholders participated. One of the most critical aims of the listening sessions was to assess the current training, technical assistance, and informational needs of state, tribal, and local entities serving girls and their families.
