This report examines the feasibility of developing and implementing an actuarial risk assessment to be completed by adult protective services (APS) workers to classify clients by the likelihood of future maltreatment.  The report reviews relevant research conducted with APS clients, content analysis of APS risk assessments in use, and research-based risk factors identified using administrative APS data.
