When Purell Is Contraband, How Do You Contain Coronavirus?

While schools, workplaces, etc., abide by public health advice and struggle with the decision to send everyone home to resume life virtually, some of our society’s systems don’t have those options. In a recent article, The Marshall Project looks at conditions within US prisons and the likelihood of the coronavirus spreading more rapidly among prison populations due to crowding, poor hygiene, and other issues. One suggestion is to release those with chronic illnesses, who are overrepresented in the prison population, and elderly inmates. Read the full article here.
