Website Shows Foster Kids Their Wishes are Worthwhile

The nonprofit One Simple Wish was started by Danielle Gletow, one of the top 10 CNN Heroes of 2013. Foster children post their wishes on the One Simple Wish website, allowing anyone to browse and fulfill these wishes by becoming an anonymous benefactor. The website hopes to send the message that individual foster children, like other children, have individual personalities with unique wants and needs. So far the website has successfully granted 6,500 wishes since 2008.
