Seeking Your Nominations for the S. Christopher Baird Award for Outstanding Applied Research

NCCD is seeking your nominations for the S. Christopher Baird Award for Outstanding Applied Research, a new award to be bestowed each year to the author(s) of one outstanding piece of applied research in child welfare or juvenile justice. The winning piece may be published or unpublished. We are currently accepting nominations and submissions for research that was released in the 2013 calendar year.

Details about the award:

  • The consideration timeframe will be any research published or otherwise disseminated from January 1 to December 31 of 2013.
  • Anyone can nominate a piece of research for consideration. No awards will be made to current NCCD staff or board members.
  • Entries will be judged by a team of NCCD staff.
  • Winners will be invited to speak at the biannual NCCD Conference on Children, Youth, and Families. The next conference will take place during May 2014 in San Diego.
  • Winners will receive an honorarium (to be applied toward travel to the conference if they wish).
