SDM Plays a Role in Decreased Child Abuse

ChicoER.com reports that Butte County’s use of the Structured Decision MakingĀ® model and safety-organized practice is helping workers make decisions that benefit kids and families. “We are looking at families more holistically right from that first phone call,” said Shelby Boston, assistant director of Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services. “The best indicator of future behavior is historical behavior, and that is what SDM looks at.”
