All of us at NCCD were excited to learn about President Obama’s pledge to appoint Bob Listenbee of the Defender Association of Philadelphia as Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). Bob will be the first permanent OJJDP administrator since 2008.

As technical assistance provider to the Attorney General’s Defending Childhood Task Force, NCCD had the opportunity to work closely with Bob, who served as a task force co-chair. Many times during the course of the project, we witnessed Bob’s commitment to improving the juvenile justice system and his passionate advocacy for system-involved kids and their families. We are delighted that his dedication, intelligence, and courage will now benefit the nation’s young people at the federal level. Congratulations, Bob!
