Local Celebration Honors NCCD’s Dr. Isami Arifuku on International Women’s Day

With over 120 guests, the March 8th benefit dinner at Piedmont Community Hall celebrated International Women’s Day and honored NCCD’s Senior Researcher, Isami Arifuku, for her outstanding research support to local community based organizations. Profits from the event were donated to The Spot, which helps youth in Oakland develop leadership skills, and Asian Health Services, which provides reproductive health services to youth.
