Lawmakers Call to Arm Prison Rape Victims with Legal Aid

A new study highlights Illinois as one of the four states with the highest rates of reported rape. As a result, the Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission (IJJC) is urging the Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to fully comply with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). However, the DJJ maintains that they are doing much more now in prison rape prevention.
