Katie Meyer to Manage CAIS™/JAIS™
February 5, 2021 | by Evident Change
Evident Change is pleased to announce Katie Meyer as the new manager of the Juvenile Assessment and Intervention System™ (JAIS)/Correctional Assessment and Intervention System™ (CAIS).
Meyer, a member of the CAIS™/JAIS™ team for eight years, will manage all day-to-day aspects of CAIS/JAIS while working with the Evident Change justice and research teams to bring increased equity and data focus to our justice practice tools.
CAIS and JAIS are supervision models that guide workers through a face-to-face assessment interview with an individual involved in the justice system. Based on the assessment interview, CAIS and JAIS provide concrete supervision strategies and recommend programs most likely to produce success.
Meyer joined Evident Change as a program associate in 2012. Throughout her time at Evident Change, she has influenced systems change in both adult and youth justice settings. Meyer stays current with national best practices as a member of the Association for Talent Development’s Madison-area chapter and the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA). She is a member of the editorial board for Perspectives, APPA’s research publication.
Meyer holds a BA in urban and regional studies with an emphasis in planning from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and an MS in urban studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
