NCCD supports World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, and wishes to acknowledge and thank all the people in adult protective service systems who devote their professional careers to responding to the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of our nation’s vulnerable adults, specifically elders. For these people, every day is elder abuse awareness day.

NCCD believes that the integration of evidence-based assessment practices into the systems serve our elders and vulnerable adults is a crucial component of creating systems that respond to the whole individual, thereby acknowledging each person’s right to be treated fairly, justly, and with dignity.
