Children in Foster Care Must Go to School in Person, Department of Child Safety Says

A request from the director of the Arizona Department of Child Safety to send foster children back to school when they reopen in person is drawing mixed reactions. In a letter to caregivers, Mike Faust wrote that “children and youth are seeking normalcy.” However, several foster parents interviewed by the Arizona Republic said that they should decide what’s best for the children in their care, one saying that she would consider it if the virus was under control.
