Changing Hearts, Not Guns

There are roughly 300 million guns circulating in the US right now— about one for every man, woman, and child. As gun violence becomes a more pressing issue in the US, gun buy-back programs are cropping up throughout the country as a local strategy of gun control. As discussed in this article, NCCD’s 2012 publication on the efficacy of different gun control efforts has found that buy-back programs are unlikely to have the necessary impact on gun violence the US needs.
