A Message from the Attorney General on the Defending Childhood Initiative

U.S. attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. released a message to inform the public of new strides being made by the National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence. The Task Force has conducted listening sessions across the country to learn how violence and abuse are affecting kids and communities, and is working to compile a report to be issued late 2012.

U.S. attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. released a message to inform the public of new strides being made by the National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence. The Task Force has conducted listening sessions across the country to learn how violence and abuse are affecting kids and communities, and is working to compile a report to be issued late 2012.

NCCD provides technical assistance to the Task Force and will support the creation of the final report, which will serve as a blueprint for preventing children’s exposure to violence and for reducing the negative effects experienced by children exposed to violence across the United States.
