We Are All Criminals
August 26, 2015 – August 26, 2015 | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Madison, WI

We Are All Criminals (WAAC) is coming to Madison, WI! The project features stories about the crimes many of us have gotten away with. The stories and statistics highlight disparities in this country’s criminal justice system, looking at why some people develop criminal records and some people do not. While 75% of American adults do not have a criminal record, we know they have committed crimes as well. What happened?

WAAC works to “dismantle the dichotomy of ‘clean’ versus ‘criminal,’ and discuss simple steps to moving toward a more just, equitable, and merciful nation.” The exhibit will be up at the Central Library beginning Monday, August 24, and an opportunity to learn more about the project and share your own story will be held at the Central Library on August 26, from 5-7pm.
