The Social Innovation Fund’s 5th Annual Convening & Celebration

This week, the Social Innovation Fund is hosting a one-of-a-kind event focused on innovation, evidence and scale in Washington, D.C. This gathering coincides with the program’s fifth anniversary. This key White House initiative and program of the Corporation for National and Community Service has invested more than $700 million in public and private funds, in more than 200 high-impact nonprofits that have employed evidence-based practices to generate change in communities around the country.

The gathering, “Celebrating Five Years of Innovation, Inspiration and Impact” will also include the announcement of new grantees and more than $50 million in new grants.

Opening Plenary and Town Hall

Attend the Opening Plenary and Town Hall meeting of the Social Innovation Fund’s annual grantee meeting. During the opening plenary, you’ll have a front row seat as we announce more than $50 million in new grants, and you’ll have the opportunity to hear about the newly funded projects from their CEOS, as well clients of programs that have received SIF investments.

You’ll also hear from Obama Administration leadership on the President’s efforts to build ladders of opportunity for those in greatest needs by investing in what works. Featured speakers include James H. Shelton, III, Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Education; Stacy Palmer, Editor, The Chronicle of Philanthropy; Jonathan Greenblatt, White House Office of Social Innovation & Civic Participation; Wendy Spencer, Corporation for National & Community Service and Michael D. Smith, the Social Innovation Fund.

Social Innovation Summit – SIF Edition brought to you by JPMorgan Chase & Co. in partnership with Time Warner

The 2014 SIF Annual Convening, will combine two powerful social innovation initiatives – the Social Innovation Fund and the Social Innovation Summit – to shine a brilliant spotlight on ‘what works’ and introduce innovators and changemakers to spark new thinking, expand imaginations and disrupt the stale and status quo. Join the livestream and online conversation to be inspired and challenged by trailblazing social innovators and entrepreneurs that are changing the way we think about creating social change. Featured speakers include: Kimberly Bryant from Black Girls Code, Seth Goldman from Honest Tea, Kirsten Lodal from LIFT, Ben Rattray from Change.org, Rashad Robinson from Color of Change,  and Andrew Yang from Venture for America. The presentation will be a combination of fireside chats and lightening talks. The program will be emceed by Erin Hogan of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
