The California Wellness Foundation‘s Violence Prevention Conference offered executive directors and program staff an opportunity to discuss a variety of topics centered on the foundation’s grantmaking areas and timely health issues. Panel topics included the importance of access to education for incarcerated people, gang prevention iniatives in California, personal experiences of incarcerated youth, and juvenile justice reform.

NCCD’s Associate Director of Research, Angie Wolf, served as a moderator for the panel focused on the needs of girls who have experienced, or have been exposed to, trauma in their lives.
