Ronald Hughes, a member of the NCCD board of directors, will give a lecture on differential response at the University of California, Berkeley, on December 3rd, 2013. Dr. Hughes is the founder and executive director of the North American Resource Center for Child Welfare and the Institute for Human Services. He recently published a paper titled “Issues in Differential Response” in Research on Social Work Practice, a disciplinary journal devoted to the publication of empirical research concerning the assessment methods and outcomes of social work practice. “Issues in Differential Response” closely examines many aspects of the differential response movement, which has stirred a lively and productive debate in the field. NCCD is proud to co-sponsor this lecture with the Berkeley School of Social Welfare, the Center for Child and Youth Policy and the School of Social Sciences. The lecture will be held in the commons room of the School of Social Welfare on December 3, 4:00–5:30 p.m.
