We are greatly saddened to share news of the passing of Toni Aleman. The hallmarks of Toni’s professional career were deep loyalty and the desire for true connection with everyone she worked with. She was continually eager to learn and grow, always with the goal of being helpful and supporting people to do their best work.

Toni was one of Evident Change’s longest-tenured staff members, beginning her career in 1988 in administration. She retired as director of human resources in 2026. In that role, Toni carried both the privilege and the burden of shepherding and supporting countless employees through difficult circumstances. She fulfilled this challenge with empathy and respect.

Toni’s bright smile and joyful laughter will remain vivid in our memories. She was a passionate musician, traveler, home designer and gardener, food and wine enthusiast, and host of parties that people looked forward to all year long. Her ability to gather people for fun, food, and music was unparalleled. Toni’s selfless commitment to her numerous senior and special needs dogs was a model for loving care and service.

Toni’s dedication to her work, her colleagues, and our mission left an impact that will remain for decades to come. We are forever better off for her numerous contributions and the time we were fortunate to have with her. She will be missed.

Toni is survived by her husband, Bob Zinkel; her sister, Christina Salm, and Christina’s husband, Allen; and many more family members and friends.
