We are excited to embark on a new project with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) Division of Public Health to improve adult protective services (APS) delivery in Wisconsin. DHS was recently awarded one of nine new grants through the Administration on Community Living’s Elder Justice Innovation Grants program.

DHS will focus on two goals: (1) establish a streamlined statewide referral process for county APS programs; and (2) in collaboration with Evident Change, improve the consistency and quality of APS response through statewide implementation of the Structured Decision Making® (SDM) intake tool. This evidence-based intake assessment tool promotes consistent screening of reports and efficient responses to reports of suspected adult maltreatment.
