Evident Change Names Mindy Rowland to Head HR and Legal Counsel

Mindy Rowland has joined Evident Change as Chief Legal and Operating Officer. Rowland has served as a consultant to Evident Change, playing an integral role in the organization’s COVID-19 response. Rowland has also helped Evident Change make significant advances related to operational excellence in its human resources infrastructure.
In her new role, Rowland will provide strategic leadership and oversight of Evident Change’s human resources operations and accounting/contracts functions and serve as in-house legal counsel.
Rowland’s experience includes 13 years practicing law as a partner at DeWitt Ross & Stevens in Madison, Wisconsin. As chair of the law firm’s Labor & Employment Relations Practice Group and the Law Clerk Committee, Rowland counseled businesses on all aspects of employment law and litigated employment-related disputes. In addition, she drafted employment contracts and presented seminars and training sessions to clients and trade organizations.
Following her work with DeWitt Ross & Stevens, Rowland served as Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of The Employer Group, a professional employer organization in Verona, Wisconsin. There, she served as general counsel for the organization and worked to grow The Employer Group’s human resources consulting division. She also headed up sales before leaving in late 2017 to start Spark, her own business that provides high-level legal and HR advice to businesses.
Rowland graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1998 and the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2001.
