NCCD recently announced the 2014 NCCD Conference on Children, Youth, and Families. The conference theme, “Making Connections,” illustrates our focus on the different systems that serve children, youth, and families, and how these systems can be and have been connected to create better outcomes.

We just released our session request for proposals and hope to receive many exciting submissions!

We are seeking conference sessions that will encourage conversations among different system partners to learn about both programs that have already been shown to work and promising new approaches. We will accept submissions from anyone interested in sharing their knowledge and experiences within the child welfare, juvenile justice, and education fields. We are particularly interested in sessions that are led by or include participation by children, youth, or families.

We are seeking submissions in a variety of formats, including panel presentations, teaching workshops, poster sessions, and pre-recorded TED-style talks.

Please share this call for sessions with anyone working or researching in a child- and family-serving system!

Shannon Flasch is an Associate Director at NCCD.
